|The Oregon Cactus & Succulent Society (OCSS) was founded in 1947. Its purpose is to promote cooperation among those interested in the cultivation, study and preservation of cacti and other succulent plants. You are always welcome to attend any meeting.|
|It's coming up fast:
The annual show and sale of the Oregon Cactus & Succulent Society is scheduled for July 15-17 at the Portland Nursery, 5050 SE Stark St. in Portland. The hours are 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Friday and Saturday; 9 am - 4 pm on Sunday. Be sure to put in on your calendar now. Regular updates will be posted on the show page.
As in past years, I will be giving a presentation on "Succulents 101" at 1 pm on Saturday.
We have a new editor for our newsletter, Doug Norseth. All current members will receive the "Connection" via email, or - if you wish - via regular mail.
We also have a new Facebook group site. Check it out and follow what's happening.
If you would like to join the society, the membership application may be downloaded here, or you may join at any meeting. Membership is $20.00 per household for one calendar year ($10.00 Senior) and includes a newsletter six times a year (the Connection [AKA: Cactus Chatter]) , an excellent library, field trips and informative meetings. There aren't many bargains like this around!
